Various research studies have shown Pomegranate seed oil's beneficial effects on Diabetes, on the skin and on oxidative damage and cancer.

Pomegranate seed oil and it's main constituent, punicic acid have been shown to decrease plasma glucose, increase levels of serum insulin and glutathione peroxidase activity (which protects the body against oxidative damage), and have anti oxidant activity.
