Our DAMASCUS ROSE FACIAL OIL INFUSION has a soft, sweet true rose aroma. It is made by soaking the Rose petals in sweet almond and sunflower oils to create a vibrant floral infusion. It is moisturizing, reduces dark spots, and restorative for aging skin. It contains a high concentration of Vitamin A, which stimulates turnover of skin cells to reduce wrinkles, and heals inflamed acne lesions or scars.

Sunflower oil is a truly gentle, nourishing oil that can be used for all skin types. It is high in Vitamin E, A, C, D, and contains antioxidants. Sweet Almond oil is also extremely gentle and great for all skin types. It is moisturizing, helps to protect against UV radiation damage, and gives skin a smooth appearance.

The benefits of our Rose facial oil are enhanced when applied after hydrating and balancing the skin with a spritz of our Neroli Hydrosol or Blue Cornflower Hydrolat on a clean, freshly washed face.

HYDROSOLS, HYDROLATS AND SKIN CARE

Many Hydrosols and Hydrolats, like normal healthy skin, tend to have a mildly acidic pH. Maintaining normal PH balance is essential to support the skin’s barrier function, moisture retention and healthy bacterial flora. The optimal pH of normal skin lies between 4.7 and 5.75. When the skin becomes too alkaline it is prone to develop conditions such as acne, Rosacea eczema, rashes, fungal or yeast infections. Products with lower pH, meaning more acidic, are anti inflammatory. In the language of Chinese medicine this means that they are clear heat and clean toxin.

Our NEROLI HYDROSOL is produced from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree native to Southeast Asia. This elegant hydrosol is renowned for its cooling and astringent properties. It shines as a revitalizing, pH balancing toner mist for oily or overactive skin while also gently hydrating delicate, sensitive, dry, blemish-prone or mature skin. This comforting blend of softly exfoliating and conditioning natures can uplift sluggishness and refresh dullness. pH 4.9

Our BLUE CORNFLOWER HYDROLAT is gently astringent. Sprayed on the face as a toner prior to moisturizing, it brings and retains moisture to the skin and helps to reduce wrinkles. With a lower ph, it helps to cool and calm inflamed skin and Rosacea pH: 3.5-4.0

Our LUCID RECALL SET is comprised of a therapeutic essential oil blend, an inhaler and a hydrosol intended to awaken the senses, benefit memory and increase mental capacity. The inhaler has an immediate effect on areas of the brain involved with memory, enhancing mental clarity as soon as it is inhaled. The liquid blend is meant for topical application on the head over affected areas of the brain and on related acupuncture points and channels. The effects of the RECALL blend are further enhanced when paired with our LUCID hydrosol spray, a vitalizing, combination of Yuan Zhi/Polygala and Ren Shen/Ginseng which can be spritzed over the head and face. All three can be helpful simply to improve alertness during work and study times as well as for more serious issues such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, post stroke, brain injury or other neurological conditions.

RECALL’s, main ingredient is Shi Chang Pu/Acorus essential oil, with its strong, sharp aromatic properties, is revered in Chinese Medicine for its ability to open the sensory orifices and resolve turbid dampness that can veil the senses causing mental fog and stupor. Modern scientific research has demonstrated that asarone, one of the major chemical components of Acorus, has beneficial effects on memory, mental illness and treatment of Alzheimer’s.

Specifically, regarding Alzheimer’s, these essential oils and their aromas are formulated to stimulate and untangle the entorhinal sulcus in the hippocampus, the part of the brain which is initially affected and responsible for the first, early sign of Alzheimer’s - loss of sense of smell - and later involved in problems with memory and mental clarity. The term entorhinal, meaning inside the nose, derives from the fact that it is partially enclosed by the rhinal sulcus where the olfactory bulb is located, therefore directly affected by aroma.
